Free, and not the trick kind. Your data isn't the price of admission. We don't sell it, mine it, or hand it to upstream model providers — and we don't call you a "user," because you aren't one. You're a participant. What flows back from your client flows back to make every other participant's agent better. Nothing flows to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone trying to sell you something.
What you choose to connect Alpenglow to is your call — and the data that flows through those connections runs on those services' terms, not ours. Slack, Gmail, Linear, your bank, your CRM: we don't control what any of them do with what you send them. What we do control is the substrate side — your memory, your conversations, your agent's working state. That part stays yours.
